On May 25, Hon Cau Marine Reserve, Binh Thuan province, said that a sea turtle caught in a fishermen's net had been released into the sea.

This sea turtle weighs about 6kg, is identified as a prey hill, scientifically named Eretmochelys imbricata and was discovered caught in a fishermen's net in the area of Tro beach in Binh Thanh commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province.

After discovering sea turtles caught in the net, fisherman Nguyen Chi Trong quickly removed the sea turtle from the net and released it back into the sea.
It is known that reptile and rover is one of the rare sea turtle species listed in the Red Book of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the Red Book of Vietnam, an endangered species, prioritized for protection.
Recently, in the coastal areas of Binh Thuan province, many sea turtles caught in nets have been released into the sea by fishermen and promoted together to protect this endangered species.

At Hon Cau Marine Reserve, from May to August every year is the turtle breeding season. This unit often organizes volunteer groups to be on duty at turtle farms to watch for turtle protection, protect egg nests and bring eggs to the egg hatching area of the reserve. When baby turtles bloom, the reserve will release baby turtles into the ocean.
