On May 5, fishermen in the Nghe Tam Tan sea area of Tan Tien commune, La Gi town, Binh Thuan province said that they had removed a caught sea turtle from the net and released it back into the natural environment.

While fishing with fishing baskets in the sea area, fishermen discovered sea turtles caught in nets. Knowing that sea turtles are in the red book of threatened and endangered species, strictly prohibiting all acts of trading and transportation, the fishermen immediately put the nets ashore and removed the sea turtles from the nets.

Realizing that the sea turtles were healthy and ensure their survival when returning to the natural environment, the fishermen released the turtles back to the sea.
Many other fishermen stood watching and agreeing with this meaningful action, contributing to protecting the marine environment.
