On May 17, Mr. Hoang Loi - a tour operator in the Quy Nhon sea area (Gia Lai) - said that at nearly 7 am on the same day, while moving in the sea area of Nhon Ly area (Quy Nhon Dong ward) to dive, the tourism group and he suddenly discovered a whale surfacing to hunt prey.

This rare moment was quickly recorded by people in the group using their phones and posted on Facebook social network.

In the clip, large whales continuously surface, opening their mouths wide to bite in the clear blue sea water. Above, flocks of seabirds fly and rush into the water to forage, creating a lively natural scene.

After being posted, the clip quickly attracted many views, shares and enjoyable comments from the online community.

From 2022 up to now, whales have regularly appeared in many coastal waters of Gia Lai province such as Xuan Thanh (Phu My Dong commune), Vung Boi (An Luong commune), De Gi, Hon Seo, Hon Co, Hon Kho Lon (Quy Nhon Dong ward), Mui Ganh (Hoai Nhon Dong ward)...

The continuous appearance of whales is considered a positive sign, showing that the environment and marine ecosystem of Gia Lai are gradually recovering, the natural food source is abundant, suitable for this species' hunting habits.
