According to Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee, in the first 8 months of 2026, the locality has about 3,300 newly registered businesses. Total registered capital reached more than 40,000 billion VND.
Compared to the same period in 2025, the number of newly established businesses increased by 2.5%. Registered capital increased by 33.5%.
To date, the whole province has more than 41,000 registered businesses. Total registered capital exceeds 450,000 billion VND. This area creates jobs for more than 700,000 workers.
Production and business activities also contribute significantly to the budget. In the first 8 months of 2026, total state budget revenue in the area is estimated at 43,500 billion VND.
This revenue level increased by 9.8% compared to the same period last year. The result reached 78% of the central budget estimate and 75% of the provincial People's Council budget estimate.
At the same time, Phu Tho's industrial production index is estimated to increase by 21.8%. The processing and manufacturing industry alone increased by 22.3%. This is the sector that mainly contributes to the overall increase in industrial production.
Faced with opportunities from Free Trade Agreements, the 4.0 Industrial Revolution and the trend of green transformation, many businesses have invested in technological innovation. Some units have increased productivity, expanded markets and developed green production.
After the merger, the province issued many policies to support the business sector. Among them is Resolution 62/2025/NQ-HĐND dated November 25, 2025 on supporting small and medium industrial production enterprises to invest in innovation and modernization of technology.
Resolution 78/2025/NQ-HĐND dated December 10, 2025 stipulates the spending level for supporting industry development activities in the area.
The province also implements solutions to improve the investment and business environment. The areas focused on include land, capital, market, science and technology.
From April 2026, Phu Tho will pilot the "24 Hour Green Channel" and "50% Green Channel" mechanisms. This mechanism aims to shorten the time to resolve administrative procedures.
Regarding credit, by the end of August 2026, the total outstanding loan balance in the area reached about 401,000 billion VND. This figure increased by 8.8% compared to the end of 2025.
Phu Tho sets a goal to become a center for industrial, commercial, logistics, tourism, health and high-quality training development by 2030.
To achieve the goal, the province continues to remove bottlenecks in land, infrastructure, site clearance and human resources. Industrial parks, social housing, worker housing and key projects are identified as areas that need to focus resources.
The business community is expected to continue to invest, innovate technology, improve productivity, develop green production and expand markets. Through this, this sector continues to contribute to growth, budget and jobs in the area.
