According to the Department of Transport of Da Nang City, key projects in Da Nang City not only improve the transport system but also promote socio-economic development, helping Da Nang City achieve its sustainable development goals. For example, the plan to relocate the railway station, the Department of Transport of Da Nang City, together with the Project Management Board, selected a consulting unit, researched and prepared a proposal for the relocation plan. This plan was approved by the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and sent to the Ministry of Transport for comments. Relocating the station will help free up space, improve urban traffic and promote urban development projects around this area.
As for the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan Expressway Project, the handover of the site has been completed to 99.5%. The enforcement procedures have been completed, and a demolition plan is being developed to ensure construction progress. This project will connect the mountainous area with the city center, facilitating the transportation of goods and inter-regional traffic.
The site clearance for the National Highway 14B upgrade and expansion project has also reached about 60.68% on the right side of the route and 51.45% on the left side. The Department of Transport is making efforts to speed up the site clearance progress in Hoa Khuong commune so that the entire site can be handed over this December. The construction progress has reached 21% of the contract value, and contractors are stepping up construction to complete the project on time.
However, some projects still face many obstacles. For example, the Project to Upgrade and Expand National Highway 14G, the Ministry of Transport has not been able to allocate resources for implementation in the 2021-2025 period. The Department of Transport continues to propose and coordinate to study and advise on adjusting the Road Network Planning, creating a basis for upgrading this national highway in the coming period. Upgrading this route is necessary to improve connectivity between regions and promote economic and social development along the route.
For the Northwest Axis I, the site clearance progress is currently slow, affecting the construction work. Although the construction volume has reached about 45%, the delay in site handover will greatly affect the project completion progress. The Department of Transport will continue to coordinate with the People's Committee of Lien Chieu District and the Project Management Board to speed up the site clearance work, creating favorable conditions for contractors to construct the project.
