At the end of 2022, Thai Nguyen province started the stadium project with a total investment of 535 billion VND. The project is invested by the Thai Nguyen Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board. The stadium is located in Phuc Triu commune (Thai Nguyen city) on a campus of more than 14 hectares, meeting international standards with a soccer field with a capacity of 22,000 seats, 8 running pitches, and 10 direct running routes.
According to the reporter, after more than 2 years of construction, the shape of Thai Nguyen Provincial Stadium has gradually emerged. The main items of the soccer field such as the pitch, stands, and pitch roads have been basically completed. The stadium has been planted with grass.
Currently, workers are constructing the drainage section, installing an irrigation system, completing the roof, lighting, seats, and painting the railings.
According to the investor, the workload has reached over 90%, expected to be completed and put into use in the first quarter of 2025.
When completed, this will be the largest stadium in the northern midland and mountainous provinces. The project will be the venue for major sporting events in Thai Nguyen as well as the whole country.
In Bac Kan province, the stadium project started construction in mid-January 2024, on an area of over 20 hectares in Huyen Tung ward. The project has a total investment of 252 billion VND, a stadium capacity of about 8,000 seats and can be increased to 15,000 seats in the next phase.
At the construction site, workers are creating a site. A large amount of rock and soil was leveled and transported from high to low positions. The soccer field area has been shaped and the stands have begun to be constructed.
According to the construction unit, the project has a total of 3 construction packages. For package No. 21, the construction of leveling and drainage is estimated to reach over 82%. The embankment section is in progress and has reached over 74% of the value.
Bac Kan Stadium was designed with the idea of a rice husk boat in the legend of Ba Be Lake. The two sides of the main stand are designed with canvas roofs like sails overcoming waves, combined with the shape of the famous Lung Nham rocky mountain range of Bac Kan province.
For the Ha Giang Provincial Stadium, the project is located in the sports and cultural complex project with a total investment of 343 billion VND. The stadium has a capacity of 10,000 seats.
Currently, workers are constructing drainage items and stands. The stadium foundation has been shaped and compacted.
Some concrete components have been cast in advance and are waiting for installation. The main road leading to the stadium has been basically completed. The rough structure of the stands has been completed and some auxiliary items are being implemented.
According to the Ha Giang Province Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project of the provincial sports and cultural complex (phase I) has reached more than 80% of the construction progress. Disbursed 256 billion VND, reaching more than 94% of allocated capital.
After completion, the complex project will promote the cultural and sports development of Ha Giang. At the same time, change the urban appearance, create a space for entertainment, and improve the spiritual life of the people.
