Drivers and vehicle owners can present their driving licenses via the VNeID application for the traffic police to check and control the driving licenses as well as related documents integrated on the VNeID application.
In case the driver is in the process of issuing or changing the driving license, the old ID card or driving license number (made of PET material) must be provided. At that time, the traffic police will conduct a search on the professional system to compare information.
"People have completed procedures for granting, exchanging, and reissuing driving licenses but have not been updated on the above application platforms because there are not enough working days, the traffic police base on appointment papers, photos, and driving license information on the applications to determine whether the driver has a driving license or not," said a representative of the Traffic Police Department.
Currently, the issuance and exchange of driving licenses have been carried out in person or online. To avoid time and convenience in performing administrative procedures, people in need should perform procedures online via the National Public Service Portal, address "dvc4.gplx.gov.vn/p/home/dvc-trang-chu.html".
The Traffic Police Department recommends that people absolutely do not provide personal information to anyone they do not know, including those who claim to be police officers who issue and exchange driving licenses.
In particular, do not follow the request of strangers to contact by phone number to call claiming to be police officers, to instruct on installing applications, activating accounts, application software, strange links, or request money transfers.
Do not access strange website addresses, do not install strange software, strange links or unofficial application warehouses of unknown origin, including software that requires high access requirements to user information.
