Renovating dangerous points after the passenger bus crashed into Bao Loc Pass

Lam Dong - After the passenger bus fell down Bao Loc Pass, the Department of Construction will recommend that competent authorities provide funding for renovation and dangerous locations.

On March 31, the leader of the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province confirmed that regarding the incident of a passenger car colliding with a truck and falling into a deep ravine in Bao Loc Pass, the two vehicles had full documents and had a waiting period for inspection.

Passenger cars manufactured in 2015, have a validity period of up to the end of 2035. The truck was manufactured in 2015, with a usage period of up to 2040.

Both vehicles were last inspected in December 2024, valid until June 2025.

Mr. Nguyen Van Gia, Director of the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province, informed that Bao Loc Pass is about 10km long, located in Bao Loc city and Da Huoai district (Lam Dong).

The pass is winding, with 7 dangerous winding locations. Recently, Lam Dong provincial authorities have organized the installation of warning signs and implemented solutions to ensure traffic safety in the area.

"In the coming time, the unit will recommend that the authorities continue to renovate dangerous locations on Bao Loc Pass to ensure safety," Mr. Gia added.
