Implementing the policy of Hanoi City Police on promoting the application of science and technology in ensuring traffic order and safety, the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police continues to direct units to strengthen the effective exploitation of professional cameras in the process of patrolling and controlling on roads.
According to the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, the use of professional cameras is maintained regularly to improve the effectiveness of detecting and handling violations, and at the same time contribute to raising the awareness of law compliance of traffic participants.

As in the morning of July 6, working groups of Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 - Hanoi Traffic Police Department deployed the use of professional cameras to patrol on many roads under their management to record violations as a basis for handling according to regulations.
Representatives of the unit said that professional cameras are used in parallel with direct patrol activities of officers and soldiers, helping functional forces proactively detect violations at many locations, especially areas that have not been installed with fixed surveillance camera systems.
The behaviors focused on being recorded are potentially high-risk errors that cause accidents and traffic jams such as improper parking, running traffic lights, going against traffic, carrying bulky goods...

During patrols on the Khuat Duy Tien route, the task force discovered a passenger car stopping and parking to pick up and drop off passengers in the wrong place. Next, on Le Van Luong street, the traffic police force continued to record many cases of cars stopping and parking in violation of regulations.
All images of vehicles, license plates, locations and violations are fully recorded by professional cameras to serve the handling work.

After the patrol shift ends, data from professional cameras is handed over to the specialized department of the unit to extract images, look up information on the system, verify vehicle owners, complete dossiers and send handling notices to vehicle owners according to regulations.
Representatives of Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 said that along with the traffic surveillance camera system being exploited in the city, the flexible use of professional cameras helps expand the scope of violation detection, improve the efficiency of patrol, control and handling, thereby contributing to building a safe and civilized traffic environment.
