More than 10,000 billion VND invested in 3 roads connecting the airport
At the working session of the Steering Committee for the implementation of key projects in Dong Nai city in early May 2026, Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut said that although traffic projects connecting Long Thanh airport have been implemented for many years, the implementation progress is still slow, and it is necessary to accelerate progress to start construction soon.
Dong Nai City is developing in the direction of taking Long Thanh airport as the main driving force for development. Therefore, the city has focused on implementing 3 connecting transport projects including upgrading and expanding roads 769, 773 and building new road 770B, with a total investment of more than 10,000 billion VND.
However, up to now, due to obstacles in planning and site clearance, these projects have not yet started construction. Specifically, for the project to upgrade and expand road 769, the City Construction Investment Project Management Board is working with the Railway Management Board (Ministry of Construction) to definitively handle the obstacle at the intersection between road 769 and the North-South railway at Km1661+074, and at the same time deploy the design step after the base, total estimate; The project to upgrade and expand road 773 has also completed the survey dossier, developed the construction drawing design, and submitted the estimate to the Department of Construction for appraisal; and the road 770B construction project is implementing the survey and developed the construction drawing design.
According to the City Construction Investment Project Management Board, projects to upgrade and expand roads 769, 773 and build road 770B will be simultaneously started in June 2026.
To meet the progress, the City Land Fund Development Center and localities with projects passing through are accelerating site clearance, by September 2026, the handover of the entire site to serve the construction of these projects will be completed.
Completing expressway and airport connecting road projects in June 2026
In addition to accelerating the progress of the above 3 projects, Dong Nai city is determined to soon complete and put into operation the projects being implemented, including: Component project 1 of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, road 25B project, road 25C and Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City through Dong Nai city.
According to the direction of Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut, the remaining 16km of component project 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway must be opened to traffic before May 18, helping the entire Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway to be operated synchronously with a length of about 54km, connecting Dong Nai - Long Thanh airport - Ho Chi Minh City, shortening the travel time from Dong Nai to Ho Chi Minh City to less than 1 hour.
Regarding the 25B road (Ton Duc Thang) and 25C road projects connecting Long Thanh airport and Ho Chi Minh City, Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut also emphasized that these are key projects of the city to serve the connection of Long Thanh airport; Dong Nai has committed to the Government to complete these projects by the end of June 2026. Therefore, units must strive to implement them to fulfill their commitments.
