In November 2024, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a document directing the exploitation of temporary parking lots in Nha Trang City and investing in parking lots to meet the requirements of socio-economic development and people's needs.
Regarding the exploitation of temporary parking lots, Khanh Hoa agreed on the policy of organizing the management and exploitation of temporary parking lots for the gas station land lot No. 4 on 23/10 street next to Long Son pagoda and the Ana Mandara project land lot on Tran Phu street.
The opening of the two temporary parking lots mentioned above is a temporary solution to reduce traffic pressure in Nha Trang during rush hours.
Nha Trang City will develop a plan and organize the implementation of management and exploitation of temporary parking lots in accordance with legal regulations; be responsible to the Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee during the implementation process, ensuring security, order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, environmental sanitation, and not causing traffic jams...
Khanh Hoa Province notes that the temporary parking lot of the Ana Mandara project land is only used as a temporary parking lot for cars with 16 seats or less and is not kept monthly.
Regarding the completion of procedures for investing in parking lots in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province assigned the Nha Trang City People's Committee to urgently update the locations of approved parking lots in the Nha Trang City Master Plan approved by the Prime Minister; continue to research, review, and supplement other locations and related zoning plans to ensure conditions for investing and constructing parking lots in accordance with regulations.
Series of land proposed for temporary parking lots
According to the Department of Transport, there are a number of vacant lots proposed by Nha Trang City and departments, agencies and sectors to be researched as temporary parking lots.
These are the gas station land at No. 4, 23/10 Street, next to Long Son Pagoda, the old Ana Mandara Project land, 7 land plots managed by the Khanh Hoa Provincial Land Fund Development Center, 10 vacant land plots in the urban area in Nha Trang; Binh Tan Port Warehouse land, the old Southern Bus Station land, Ma Vong parking lot, etc.
The Department of Transport has proposed to Khanh Hoa province to assign the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to review the land use purpose and project implementation time on the land; in case the waiting time for project implementation is at least 12 months, the Nha Trang City People's Committee will develop a plan to exploit the land as a parking lot.
In case the waiting time for project investment on land is at least 12 months, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee directs the investor to hand over the land to Nha Trang City for management to develop a management and exploitation plan as a temporary parking lot in urban areas.
