In early October, at the Lien Phuong road project site (formerly Thu Duc City), the main items have been basically completed, especially the bridge section across Muong Kinh canal, an important highlight on the entire route.
At the construction site, many groups of workers are urgently paving the bridge deck, painting the lane division lines, completing the railing system, guardrails and median strip. This is the last item before the route officially opens to technical traffic in the near future.
Lien Phuong route is 660m long, 60m wide, designed speed of 60 km/h, single axle load of 10 tons, total investment capital of about 260 billion VND, of which a private corporation supported 100 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa (residing in An Phu ward) shared: "When this road is completed, it will be much more convenient for us to travel. Previously, every time I passed through Mai Chi Tho area or An Phu intersection, there were often long traffic jams, especially during rush hour. When Lien Phuong road is more smooth, connecting with the parallel road of Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, vehicles from the expressway to the city center can turn here to Mai Chi Tho, instead of rushing to the An Phu intersection, which is easily congested. The new route helps to divert traffic, save time, and significantly reduce traffic pressure for the East".

The starting point of the route connecting with Mai Chi Tho and Vo Nguyen Giap Boulevards has been cleared with 6 lanes, ready for operation. When completed, the route will help shorten about 4 km from Cat Lai intersection to Lien Phuong - Do Xuan Hop intersection, reducing the load on the main roads that are often congested due to the high density of trucks and container trucks.

When completed, Lien Phuong route will create a smooth traffic axis connecting key routes such as Mai Chi Tho, Vo Nguyen Giap and Do Xuan Hop, helping to shorten travel time, share traffic volume, reduce pressure on An Phu intersection and Mai Chi Tho Avenue - areas that are often congested during rush hour. The project also contributes to completing the transport network in the East, improving the ability to connect the inner city, making it easier for people to move.
