On July 1, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City officially merged the administrative boundaries with the entire province of Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau, becoming a super urban area with a population of about 14 million people.
To support the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees after this historic event, the city has deployed a free shuttle bus service from the two newly merged localities to the center of Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center (under the Department of Construction), shuttle buses are reserved for cadres, civil servants, and public employees working at Party, State agencies, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and public service units. Service users only need to present a civil servant or public employee card when getting on the bus.
The service is currently operated by Phuong Trang Passenger Bus Joint Stock Company (Futa Buslines) with a new fleet of 10 vehicles, including 4 45-seat vehicles and 6 16-seat vehicles.

The vehicle has a clear identification sign, fully equipped with wifi, drinking water and spacious, clean seats, ensuring comfort throughout the journey.
Recorded on the morning of July 1, vehicles departing from Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau Administrative Centers all arrived at Saigon Bus Station according to the schedule, at around 7:40 and 8:00 a.m. respectively.
Driver Nguyen Van Nhan (52 years old), driving from Binh Duong Administrative Center, said he departed at 5:45 a.m. but was stuck at Binh Trieu 2 bridge, causing the journey to take an hour longer.

Meanwhile, driver Nguyen Thanh Ho (41 years old) running the route from Ba Ria - Vung Tau announced that the road is clear, the vehicles move smoothly and on time.
According to the plan, the bus system will have three trips every day in the morning (5:30), 5:45, and 6am) and three trips back in the afternoon (17:10), 17:20 and 17:30). The Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center is also synthesizing actual needs from agencies, in order to adjust frequency, increase the number of vehicles in case of increased demand.

This is a remarkable effort in organizing traffic reasonably, creating favorable conditions for cadres and civil servants to move and stabilize their work in the new Ho Chi Minh City.
