The Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Long Xuyen Quadrangle, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, An Giang Provincial Police has just organized a training course on fire prevention and rescue for 60 trainees who are workers of Siam City Cement Company Limited (Vietnam) - Kien Giang Branch.
At the training session, officers and soldiers of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team disseminated legal regulations on fire prevention and rescue work; analyzed and assessed the causes and consequences of some typical fires and explosions that have occurred recently to draw practical lessons. Thereby, helping students better understand the responsibilities of individuals and organizations in implementing fire safety regulations at the workplace.
In addition to the theory section, students are also instructed on how to proficiently use on-site fire fighting equipment and vehicles; practice fire extinguishing operations using handheld fire extinguishers, wet blankets and coordinate the deployment of basic fire fighting teams. In addition, the lecturers also instructed on escape skills, moving victims in smoke-prone environments, as well as how to handle situations when a fire or explosion occurs in the production area.
This training activity not only helps the Company's workers and employees consolidate their knowledge and skills in fire prevention and fighting and rescue, but also contributes to forming the habit of "preventing fire rather than fighting fire".
Thereby, creating a strong change in awareness and action, improving the effectiveness of fire prevention and fighting work at enterprises, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property and contributing to stabilizing production and developing the socio-economy in the area.
