In particular, Ninh Kieu district includes: Ninh Kieu ward (merged from Tan An, Thoi Binh and Xuan Khanh wards); Cai Khe ward (merged from An Hoa ward, part of Bui Huu Nghia ward); Tan An Ward (merged from Hung Loi ward, An Khanh); An Binh Ward (merged from An Binh ward, My Khanh commune).

Binh Thuy district includes: Binh Thuy ward (merged from Binh Thuy ward, An Thoi, Bui Huu Nghia); Long Tuyen ward (merged from Long Tuyen ward, Long Hoa); Thoi An Dong Ward (merged from Tra An, Thoi An Dong and Tra Noc wards).

Cai Rang District includes: Cai Rang ward (merged from Le Binh, Ba Lang, Hung Thanh and Thuong Thanh wards); Hung Phu Ward (merged from Phu Thu, Tan Phu and Hung Phu wards).

O Mon district includes: Thoi Long ward (merged from Thoi Long, Long Hung and Tan Hung wards); Phuoc Thoi Ward was merged from Phuoc Thoi and Truong Lac ward); O Mon ward (merged from Thoi An, Chau Van Liem, Thoi Hoa, Thoi Thanh commune).

Thot Not district includes: Trung Nhut ward (merged from Thanh Hoa ward, Trung Nhut, Trung An commune); Thot Not ward (merged from Thot Not, Thuan An and Thuan Thuan wards); Thuan Hung ward (merged from Trung Kien and Thuan Hung wards); Tan Loc Ward (maintained).

Phong Dien district includes: Nhon Ai commune (merged from Nhon Nghia commune, Nhon Ai); Phong Dien commune was merged from Phong Dien town, Tan Thoi commune, Giai Xuan); Truong Long commune (maintained).

Vinh Thanh district includes: Vinh Thanh commune (merged from Vinh Thanh town, Thanh My commune, Thanh Loc); Thanh Quoi commune (merged from Thanh An, Thanh Quoi and Thanh Tien communes); Vinh Trinh commune (merged from Vinh Trinh commune, Vinh Binh); Thanh An Commune (merged from Thanh An town, Thanh Thang commune, Thanh Loi)
