A practical journey
The atmosphere of the Independence Day began with practical actions of departments, branches and organizations of Can Tho City. In Ninh Kieu district, the local government has coordinated with social organizations and people to actively hang the national flag. Thousands of red flags with yellow stars are solemnly hung in people's houses and on main roads, creating a brilliant "flag forest", symbolizing the consensus and unity of the entire people.

Seeing the image of the city filled with red, Ms. Nguyen Thi Truc Phuong (born in 1995) expressed: "This initiative is wonderful, not only beautifying the urban landscape during the independent Tet holiday but also strongly spreading the spirit of patriotism, inspiring in each of us the pride in an independent and free country".

Can Tho City Police also closely coordinated with relevant units to re- decorate the main roads with flags and banners. The activity not only shows the solemnity and solemnity of the important holiday but also contributes to raising people's awareness in preserving and promoting traditional values.

Joining the heroic atmosphere of the whole country, Nam Can Tho University (DNC) also carries out a series of exciting and diverse activities to educate revolutionary traditions and foster living ideals for students. One of the most outstanding activities is the Journey to the Source "Heritage Road". The trip took DNC students to the historical and cultural sites of the country.
Le My Duyen (a student participating in the journey) could not hide her emotions: "I go, learn and understand more clearly the tradition of steadfast struggle of our ancestors, and appreciate the cultural and architectural beauty that our ancestors have preserved. We promise ourselves to live more responsibly, to devote ourselves to being worthy of the previous generation."
The spirit of the younger generation

In addition to Duyen, many DNC students also visited the thematic exhibition "August Revolution - Historical milestone" organized by the Political Department of Military Region 9. With more than 300 valuable images, documents and artifacts, the exhibition has brought the younger generation back to the vibrant atmosphere of the autumn of 1945.
Truong Uyen Nhi (DNC Beauty queen) shared: "Through the exhibition, we have a deeper appreciation of the spirit of resilience and the iron will of the nation. This is a valuable lesson, urging each person to make more efforts in studying and practicing".
It is known that not only stopping at intuitive educational activities, DNC youth also shows creativity and patriotism through the making of a special music video clip. The video was released to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, with content praising the beauty of the country and people of Vietnam.

According to our records, during these days, young people and even children in Can Tho also go to places decorated splendidly to take photos and capture beautiful moments. Coffee shops decorated with red flags with yellow stars have become truly attractive check-in spots.
Mr. Dang Hoang Giang (born in 1987, Ninh Kieu district) shared: "Instead of taking my child on a trip, the family chose to let him stay in the city and join in the excellent atmosphere. Children will love history more, thereby forming a strong motivation for them to strive to learn and contribute. My family will always work hard to build a prosperous country".
