At about 10 am on June 25, a large phoenix branch suddenly broke and fell down, hitting a woman driving a motorbike on Me Suot street, Dong Hoi ward, Quang Tri province.
The phoenix tree was planted on Me Suot street, near Dong Hoi market area, where there are many people and vehicles passing by. At the time of the incident, the weather was hot with strong winds.
The broken tree branch crushed the woman driving the motorbike who was on her way to the market. At the scene, the motorbike was tilted under the tree trunk and branches, and the front of the motorbike was heavily damaged.
The woman was slightly injured and was quickly taken to the side of the road by people to rest. A large branch of a phoenix tree broken across also blocked part of the walkway on Me Suot street.
Immediately after the incident, functional forces were present at the scene to support the victims, collect broken trees, clear the roadway and ensure traffic safety on the street.
