Coast Guard provide timely first aid to fishermen in distress at night

Immediately after receiving the report, the coast guard force quickly approached the fishing boat and provided first aid to fishermen who had work accidents at sea.

At about 8:45 p.m. on August 4, while performing patrol and inspection duties in the Southwest sea, CSB 6003 ship of Squadron 401, Coast Guard Region 4 Command received information requesting urgent medical assistance.

Receiving a report from Mr. Dang Van Vung, captain of fishing boat KG 946xx TS, Mr. D.V.B, born in 1971, located in Giong Rieng commune, An Giang province, had a work accident while fishing at sea and needed urgent medical support.

Immediately after receiving the report, CSB 6003 quickly approached the fishing boat KG 94693 TS, took the fishermen to CSB 6003, and provided initial first aid to the victims.

Through verification by the Military Medical Team, the victim suffered a closed fracture of his left forearm. The medical team performed hereby to place bandagons, bracelets to secure the forearms and provide painkillers. After receiving medical support, the fishermen were alert and had less pain. At 10:15 p.m. the same day, Mr. B was taken to the fishing boat KG 946xx TS for further care and brought to shore for treatment.

Despite the cold weather conditions and strong waves and strong winds, the officers and soldiers of CSB 6003 took urgent, quick and timely actions to help the fishermen in distress.
