Previously, from the afternoon of October 30, water from upstream flooded, reservoirs increased water flow to regulate water, causing local flooding.

Many houses in Ham Thuan, Ham Thuan Bac, Ham Liem communes, Ham Thang ward, especially riverside areas were flooded.
Local authorities organize the evacuation of people, but access to flooded areas is difficult.

Many houses were deeply flooded, people climbed onto the roofs to wait for rescue. Many people have posted Facebook asking for help.
In the face of emergency situations, tourist areas with coastal rescue canoes and water motorbike services for tourists in Mui Ne and Ke Ga beaches have urgently transported canoes and motorbikes to flooded areas for rescue.


However, the strong floodwaters made rescue work even more difficult. Some canoes and water motorbikes were swept away.
Vehicles operate all night, taking many people from deeply flooded houses to safe locations. After that, the vehicles moved to rescue in another area.
Thanh Tuyen rescue crane on duty on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway was also present to support canoe cranes and water motorbikes completely free of charge. The crane also crossed the deeply flooded terrain to carry people out.
A rescue team brought 4 canoes, 1 canoe was lost during the rescue process, and has not been found, 1 canoe had a broken engine.

A canoe team from Mui Ne and an 0D Binh Thuan ambulance organized a rescue for people in the Lich Su bridge area (Ham Thang ward) until 2am when the floodwaters rose and were stuck, unable to return.
On National Highway 1 through Ham Thang Ward in the early morning of October 31, many sections were flooded, causing traffic congestion. Traffic police were on duty to guide other vehicles on the road.


At 8:00 a.m. on October 31, National Highway 1, km1701 near Ben Loi Bridge, was deeply flooded, causing the two sides to be cut off, making it impossible for vehicles to travel.
