According to a quick report from the People's Committee of Song Luy commune, at about 1:40 a.m. on October 28, the river water rose and flooded about 25 households in Suoi Nhuom village, with a depth of 0.81.5 m.
At 3:45 a.m., the water level continued to rise, overflowing National Highway 1A (km1658) about 700 m long, 0.61 m deep. The strong water flow caused the median strip to shift, obstructing traffic.
The commune military force coordinated with the police and relevant agencies to quickly support people in evacuating livestock, poultry and assets, while regulating traffic, helping small vehicles cross the flooded section.
Fortunately, there were no human casualties. By the morning of the same day, the water began to recede, but traffic congestion still occurred locally on National Highway 1A through Song Luy commune.
The authorities continue to monitor the development of floods to proactively respond and ensure the safety of people and vehicles.
