On the morning of October 31, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi and representatives of relevant agencies surveyed the landslide area on D'ran Pass, Xuan Truong Ward - Da Lat.
At the scene of the landslide, the leader of Xuan Truong - Da Lat ward said that the landslide location was a positive slope next to Cau Treo area, where rocks and soil were moving, dangerous.

At the top of the slope, many cracks are longer and more than 1m deep, there are currently about 60 pine trees that are at risk of landslides for decades.
According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the landslide on the D'ran Pass was nearly 50m long and nearly 30m high.
The area where large cracks appeared, running long, has an area of 3,500m2, with a height of 30m, the volume of rock and soil at risk of landslides is estimated at 60,000m3.

Through the inspection, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi requested relevant units to block off and assign forces to be on duty, preventing people and vehicles from entering the landslide area to ensure safety.
Mr. Ho Van Muoi assigned the Department of Construction to propose a survey plan, hire consultants and experts to assess all the possibility of landslides to soon have a solution.

At the same time, the Department of Agriculture and Environment was assigned to report and declare an emergency situation regarding natural disasters to take measures to handle the incident.
According to Mr. Ho Van Muoi, D'ran Pass is a vital route connecting Lam Dong with the Khanh Hoa sea area, so it is necessary to promptly overcome the landslide to ensure traffic.

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on the night of October 28, a large amount of old soil and rocks on the positive slope collapsed into D'ran Pass, a section in the Cau Treo area, obstructing traffic.
Due to the complex geology of the landslide area, the authorities blocked off the scene, prohibiting people and vehicles from traveling in both directions to ensure safety.
Accordingly, on October 30, the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province coordinated with relevant units to divert traffic and adjust the route so that people could avoid landslides.

Currently, vehicles traveling from Khanh Hoa to Da Lat follow National Highway 27 to Phi Nom intersection, turn right onto National Highway 20 to Da Lat.
On the other afternoon, vehicles from Da Lat to Khanh Hoa follow National Highway 20 down to Prenn Pass, reach Phi Nom intersection and turn left onto National Highway 27 to return to Khanh Hoa.
The flowing time started at 4:00 p.m. on October 30, lasting until the landslide site of D'ran Pass was repaired and the landslides and subsidence were completed.
D'ran Pass, 10km long with many dangerous curves, is a vital route connecting Da Lat with Song Pha Pass on National Highway 27, forming the Da Lat - Phan Rang (Khanh Hoa) route.
