Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee has just issued the 2026 Digital Transformation Plan, identifying many key goals and tasks to develop digital infrastructure, build digital government, promote the digital economy - digital society and ensure network information security.
According to the plan, digital transformation continues to be identified by Cao Bang province as a xuyên suốt task in socio-economic development.
The province sets a goal to invest in and upgrade synchronous digital infrastructure; improve institutions and policies; develop digital human resources, gradually form digital government, digital economy and comprehensive digital society.
According to the plan, the total budget for implementing digital transformation projects and tasks in 2026 is expected to be more than 169,317 billion VND from regular expenditures.
In addition, 2 projects: Adjusting and completing the land database in Cao Bang province (60 billion) and Investment and construction of information and communication infrastructure in Cao Bang province (30 billion) will be mobilized from public investment capital sources for implementation.
In the field of Health, the construction of electronic medical records at units under the Department of Health in the area is also expected to cost over 23 billion VND. In the field of digital infrastructure, Cao Bang focuses on eliminating telecommunications wave "hollow zones", striving to have 100% of villages and hamlets covered by broadband mobile (3G, 4G, 5G) and fiber optic cable by 2026.
The provincial data center continues to be upgraded on a cloud computing platform; the online video conferencing system is deployed to 100% of commune levels, serving direction and administration work.
Regarding digital government, the province maintains and improves the efficiency of common systems such as document management, Public Service Portal, national integrated administrative procedure settlement system; strengthens connection and data sharing between departments, branches, and localities.
Along with that, Cao Bang supports businesses and cooperatives to digitally transform, develop e-commerce for OCOP products, local specialties; build "digital citizens", improve digital skills for people.
With a clear roadmap and specific assignments of responsibilities, Cao Bang expects to create a strong shift in the digital transformation process, contributing to improving the quality of management, administration and improving people's lives.
