On the night of October 9 and the morning of October 10, the Cao Bang Provincial Military Command received supplies, equipment and rice provided by the National Reserve Department to support the Provincial People's Committee to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
According to the decision of the Minister of Finance, the State Reserve Departments of regions I, IV and VI have issued additional 20 light-class life tarpaulins (24.5 m2), 400 life jackets, 300 round buoys, 50 life rafts, 4 generators, 3 sets of drilling and cutting equipment, 6 fire-fighting water pumps, 6 sets of life rope launchers and 600 tons of national reserve rice (phase 1, 2025).
All of these goods were handed over to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Bang province to quickly distribute to severely damaged areas, where people are facing difficulties and food shortages due to prolonged floods.

According to statistics as of October 9, floods in the area have killed 7 people and injured 5 others; more than 14,000 houses have collapsed, had their roofs blown off, had their foundations collapsed or were flooded.
Over 11,000 hectares of rice and crops were buried and flooded; thousands of livestock and poultry died and were swept away. A series of traffic routes, schools, medical facilities, irrigation works and electricity and water systems were severely damaged.
The total economic damage is estimated at more than 3,000 billion VND. In just one week, Cao Bang people had to endure two consecutive storms No. 10 and 11, causing many families to fall into a state of exhaustion.

In that situation, Cao Bang province is focusing all resources to overcome the consequences, restore infrastructure, support people to regenerate and stabilize their lives. In the context of limited budget, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Bang province calls on all cadres, soldiers, businesses, organizations, and philanthropists inside and outside the province to promote the spirit of "Mutual love", "The healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", joining hands to help people in flooded areas.
The Provincial Fatherland Front mobilizes each cadre, civil servant, public employee, soldier of the armed forces and those receiving salaries from the state budget to donate at least one day's salary; workers contribute one day's income; households, union members, and members with conditions should save their spending, donate from 50,000 VND or more - contributing to helping Cao Bang people overcome difficulties soon and stabilize their lives after natural disasters.
