Support Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Bac Ninh with 140 billion VND to overcome the consequences of floods

The Prime Minister decided to provide emergency support of 140 billion VND to the four provinces of Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son, and Bac Ninh to overcome the consequences of floods.

Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 2221/QD-TTg dated October 8, 2025 to urgently support funding for the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son and Bac Ninh to overcome the consequences of floods.

The Prime Minister decided to support 140 billion VND from the central budget reserve in 2025 to 4 localities to promptly provide relief, support the people and initially overcome the consequences of floods.

Of which: Thai Nguyen 50 billion VND, Cao Bang 30 billion VND, Lang Son 30 billion VND and Bac Ninh 30 billion VND as proposed by the Ministry of Finance in document No. 15559/BTC-NSNN dated October 8, 2025.

The Prime Minister requested the People's Committees of the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son and Bac Ninh to be responsible for managing and using the above additional funds, ensuring compliance with the provisions of the law on the state budget and other relevant legal documents, ensuring the right purpose of use, right subjects, publicity, transparency, no loss or negativity.

At the same time, report the results of use to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and relevant agencies for synthesis and reporting to the Prime Minister.

Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 2171/QD-TTg dated October 2, 2025 to support central budget reserves in 2025 for some localities to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10 and other natural disasters from the beginning of 2025.

Of which, VND 2,524 billion will be supported from the central budget reserve in 2025 for 15 localities to support people's lives, repair dykes, irrigation reservoirs, natural disaster prevention works, essential infrastructure, and stabilize residents in urgent disaster areas due to the impact of storm No. 10 and other natural disasters from the beginning of 2025.

Accordingly: Tuyen Quang 200 billion VND, Cao Bang 195 billion VND, Lang Son 20 billion VND, Lao Cai 200 billion VND, Thai Nguyen 20 billion VND, Phu Tho 20 billion VND, Son La 200 billion VND, Lai Chau 24 billion VND, Dien Bien 90 billion VND, Ninh Binh 20 billion VND, Thanh Hoa 200 billion VND, Nghe An 500 billion VND, Ha Tinh 500 billion VND, Quang Tri 200 billion VND, Hue 135 billion VND.
