On February 5th, Xuan Khiem Group Joint Stock Company officially put into temporary operation the rest stop at Km594, the North-South expressway section through Trung Thuan commune, Quang Tri province.
This is the first rest stop to be exploited on the entire Vung Ang - Bung expressway, marking an important step in completing service infrastructure to serve people and vehicles traveling on the route.
In the context of increasing traffic volume on the North-South expressway, putting rest stops into operation is considered a timely solution, contributing to ensuring traffic safety and reducing the risk of accidents due to driver fatigue and lack of stops.
According to a business representative, although it is only temporarily operating, the Km594 rest stop has almost fully completed all items of a main station. Essential works such as general service houses, supermarkets, event venues, restaurants, toilets and spacious parking lots are all ready to serve people and drivers.
The station has the ability to receive about 150 - 200 vehicles at the same time. The enterprise prioritizes putting essential items into early operation to meet the needs of resting, eating and ensuring safety for traffic participants, especially during the highway is increasingly being exploited with high density.
In the restaurant area, the team of chefs and service staff has been well-trained before working. The dishes are publicly listed prices, and samples are kept in accordance with food safety regulations, in order to prevent the risk of poisoning and create peace of mind for passengers.
In addition to essential services, the rest stop also arranges an area for displaying and trading specialty products of Quang Tri. This is considered a highlight in the exploitation model, both meeting the shopping needs of tourists and contributing to promoting local products and brands along the North-South expressway.
