On August 26, leaders of the Department of Construction of Dong Thap province issued a document confirming that the Cao Lanh - An Huu expressway project, phase 1, will be completed in 2026. Currently, the project has reached more than 80% of the construction value in both component projects and is being implemented according to plan.
It is known that the project has a length of 27.43km, with a total investment of about 7,496 billion VND, including 2 component projects.

In which, component project 1 is about 16km long, with a total investment of 3,640 billion VND, started on June 25, 2023. To date, all 16/16 bidding packages have been selected for contractors. The realized value reaches about 2,047.5/2,535.7 billion VND, equivalent to 80.75% of the construction value.
Component project 2 is about 11.43km long, with a total investment of 3,856 billion VND, started on August 27, 2024. To date, the realized value has reached about 1,904/2,368 billion VND, equivalent to 80.39% of the construction value.

The Cao Lanh - An Huu expressway project was approved for investment policy by the Prime Minister on June 24, 2022. The project is identified as of particular importance to connect the expressway network of the Mekong Delta region, meeting the demand for freight transport to key economic regions of the country, creating momentum for the development of the Mekong Delta region in general, and Dong Thap in particular.
