On the morning of August 31, the number of vehicles leaving Hanoi to the South increased sharply, Ring Road 3 elevation was slightly congested, while the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway was clear.

According to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, on the morning of August 31, the number of vehicles leaving Hanoi for southern provinces and cities increased sharply. On the elevated Ring Road 3, the flow of vehicles moved in succession and there was a slight congestion.

Meanwhile, at the entrance to the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway, vehicles circulate stably, without prolonged congestion. The toll station area is convenient for vehicles to pass through.

Mr. Nguyen Van Chinh said that on August 31, he moved from Bac Ninh to Phu Ly. Compared to previous holidays, this trip was more convenient, only congested in some sections in front of the toll station.

The density of vehicles is quite high, but in general the road is still clear, vehicles move slowly and keep a distance. Some vehicles swerving and squeezing into the distance between the two vehicles are both unsafe and easily cause traffic jams," Mr. Chinh said.

Also traveling from Hanoi to Ninh Binh, Mr. Dang Anh Huy said that the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway only has congestion in the section from Ring Road 3 to the toll station area. After that, vehicles traveled quite smoothly, many drivers followed the speed limit and maintained a safe distance.

According to people, during holidays and Tet in the past, congestion on the roads to the southern provinces often occurred due to a sudden increase in the number of vehicles. This year, people proactively divided their time and chose many routes to travel, so traffic pressure was reduced.

However, when the density of vehicles increases, the fact that many drivers actively reduce speed and maintain a safe distance also makes travel time longer than usual. At some times, vehicles still appear in the emergency stop lane.

Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Vu Ngoc Oanh - Deputy General Director of Phap Van - Cau Gie BOT Joint Stock Company said that on the morning of August 31, the number of vehicles passing through the station was stable, and there was no congestion.

To ensure traffic during the September 2nd holiday, the unit arranges personnel to be on duty to support, coordinate traffic diversion, and handle promptly when incidents occur, limiting prolonged congestion.

According to the Traffic Police Department, most drivers have complied with regulations on keeping a safe distance. Compared to previous days, the situation of speeding, encroaching on lanes, continuously changing lanes or going into the emergency stop lane has decreased.

The Traffic Police Department recommends that people proactively choose routes and appropriate times when traveling during holidays. When congestion or incidents occur, people need to follow the instructions of functional forces, do not arbitrarily change lanes, stop or go into the emergency stop lane.
