On February 2nd, representatives of Road Management Office II.3 (Road Management Zone II - Vietnam Road Administration) said that the ITS system invested includes many components such as electrical system, lighting, ventilation fans, fire prevention and fighting system, surveillance and incident detection cameras, electronic traffic signs and traffic lights, loudspeaker system, inter-line ETC toll collection system.
Currently, on the expressway in Ha Tinh, the contractor has completed the erection of the dragon gate and pillar, and steel frame structures installed across the road or along the road, serving the installation of a surveillance camera system.
The camera system on the expressway can observe the entire route and is also integrated with AI with functions such as vehicle classification, license plate recognition, detection and warning of incidents such as speeding, traffic jams, stopping, going in the wrong lane, going against traffic, objects falling on the road...
Traffic vehicles will be collected images, synthesized through cameras installed along the route and transmitted in real time to the smart operating center, while integrating the feature of using artificial intelligence to support the process of monitoring, tracking, operation and making decisions when traffic situations arise.
The deployment of the ITS system on the expressway through Ha Tinh is a mandatory requirement according to modern expressway standards to help manage traffic intelligently and effectively when traffic volume is large and running at high speeds.

The North-South Expressway in the East through Ha Tinh province has a total length of 107.28km with 4 component projects, including Dien Chau - Bai Vot, Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang, Vung Ang - Bung.
In which, the Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway section (the section through Ha Tinh is 4.9km long) has completed the installation of a camera monitoring system and automatic non-stop toll collection ETC.
The remaining 3 expressway sections put into operation in 2025 are focusing on deploying smart transportation.
