Through rice fields, mangrove forests and a dense river system, the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway is being deployed in an urgent and bustling construction atmosphere in the days leading up to the Lunar New Year.

Started in August 2025, the project has now entered the stage of foundation soil embankment, pile driving and deployment of important technical items.
At the construction site, hundreds of officers, engineers, and workers of Corps 12 and construction units stayed up day and night, overcoming complex terrain conditions, weak soil and harsh weather of the flooded area to ensure the set progress.

With the spirit of responsibility of a road builder, the construction forces determined that this is a project of strategic significance, not only for Ca Mau but also for the infrastructure connection of the entire region.

Colonel Tran Bach Duong - Deputy Commander of Corps 12, Deputy General Director of Truong Son Construction Corporation - said that the consensus and support of the government and local people is a great source of encouragement for units to be determined to complete the project on schedule and ensure quality. Therefore, the unit is determined to complete the project according to plan.
In parallel with construction, site clearance work is also being focused on by localities.
In Dat Moi commune, the expressway passes through 8 hamlets with a length of about 14.4 km, affecting more than 162 hectares of land, involving 212 households and 3 organizations. In addition, the expressway connection routes affect 6 other hamlets, with more than 57 hectares of land belonging to 194 households.

Mr. Nguyen Phuong Dong - Secretary of the Party Committee of Dat Moi commune - said that right from the time there was an investment policy, the locality identified site clearance as a key task. Surveying and inventory work was coordinated to be carried out closely, publicly, transparently, ensuring full legitimate rights of the people. Cadres and party members with affected land are required to take the lead, set an example in handing over the site, creating spread and consensus among the people.

Amidst shrimp ponds and mangrove forests, the construction atmosphere of the Cai Nuoc - Dat Mui expressway section is bringing a new rhythm of life to the southernmost land. Each meter of road is formed not only connecting localities but also extending people's belief and expectations about innovation and development of the homeland.
Notably, a cable-stayed bridge across the Cua Lon River about 1,500m long will be built on the entire route. This item is an important technical highlight, contributing to completing the modern expressway axis reaching out to the vast ocean from the southernmost tip of the Fatherland.
The Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway has a total length of 81 km, a scale of 4 lanes, 2 lanes for continuous emergency stops, and a design speed of 100 km/h. The project includes 2 independent component projects: the Ca Mau - Cai Nuoc section, 42 km long, and the Cai Nuoc - Dat Mui section, 39 km long, with a total investment of nearly 60,000 billion VND. According to the plan, the entire route will be completed in 2028.
