The Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway is 88 km long, connecting the two provinces of Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh, with a total investment of about 20,400 billion VND, invested by Project Management Board 2. The project started in early 2023 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. These days, taking advantage of the sunny weather, Deo Ca Group is mobilizing maximum means, machinery, equipment and labor to speed up the progress of all project items.
According to Mr. Ngo Truong Nam - General Director of Deo Ca Group, the entire project has mobilized nearly 4,000 personnel, 1,500 machines and equipment, focusing on construction with the determination to complete the items according to the set schedule. The construction plan is specifically developed by teams and teams every month, every week, even every day to closely follow and urge serious implementation, not to let delays occur.
Currently, tunnel No. 3 is under construction at high intensity, with more than 700 engineers and workers taking turns working continuously 24/24 hours. In particular, tunnel 1 and tunnel 2 have completed construction, and units are focusing on completing the installation of electromechanical equipment and a smart traffic control system, to be ready for synchronous operation of the entire project by the end of 2025.
For the roadbed item, a consortium of contractors - headed by Deo Ca Group - is striving to complete the construction to open to traffic on September 30, 2025. Currently, the main route's foundation work has been basically completed. Contractors are making every effort to speed up the progress of asphalt concrete paving. At the same time, fence construction is being implemented on both sides of the route to prevent livestock from entering the highway, causing traffic insecurity.
To date, 77 bridges on the route have also basically completed the bored pile drilling part. Most bridges have been and are currently undergoing the construction of piers, girder installation and bridge deck construction. The railway overpass at Duc Pho intersection (Km0+312) - previously facing problems with site clearance - has now been resolved, the contractor is speeding up the construction progress.
As of the end of June 2025, the total construction output of the project reached a value of about VND 10,000/13,400 billion. Currently, taking advantage of favorable weather, contractors are focusing on speeding up construction to compensate for the previously delayed volume.
Due to the importance of the project, the Standing Committee of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee has included the Sub-project of Compensation and Site Clearance of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway Project in the list of key projects of the province to monitor, direct and urge implementation. To date, Quang Ngai has handed over 100% of the main route site. Some local locations related to service roads, National Highway 24B intersections, overpasses, etc. are also being directed by the Provincial People's Committee to localities to promptly resolve them.
