At around 2:20 a.m. on September 8, many workers renting a room at the T.H motel (My Dien 2 residential group, Nenh ward) and people in the surrounding area heard a loud explosion from the 4th floor of the building.
After the loud explosion, the fire and smoke rose, the workers renting the room shouted and quickly reported to the authorities.
Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department - Bac Ninh Provincial Police sent 19 officers and soldiers along with 3 fire trucks to the scene to coordinate with 10 officers and soldiers of Nenh Ward Police to handle the incident.
Immediately after approaching the scene, the authorities brought the bodies of the two victims, Mr. H.T.L (born in 2000) and his wife, Ms. L.T.B.D (born in 2004) in Trai Moi village, Dong Ky commune (Bac Ninh) out. The couple has been renting a room here for 5 years.
It is known that the boarding house has 4 floors, 64 rooms, more than 100 tenants, mainly workers working at enterprises in industrial parks in Nenh ward. The explosion occurred in a rented room on the 4th floor.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Bac Ninh Province is examining the scene, examining the body and investigating to clarify the cause of the incident.
Nenh ward is identified as a key area for industrial development in Bac Ninh province.
Currently, in the ward, there are 4 large industrial parks and 1 industrial cluster in operation, attracting more than 2,500 enterprises to invest and more than 130,000 workers and laborers from provinces and cities across the country.
