On the morning of September 8, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee worked with the Chinese business delegation led by Ms. Shilei, Chairman of Sumec Machinery & Electric Company Limited, to learn about investment cooperation opportunities in Bac Ninh province.
Ms. Shilei said that Sumec Group is owned by the Chinese Government with its main business lines including: Electrical equipment, generators, electronics, garments, equipment import and export, goods trading, etc.
By the end of 2024, Sumec Group will have 13 secondary subsidiaries and 37 industrial factories owned by the Group in more than 160 countries and regions, with more than 16,000 specialized employees; revenue of about 200 billion USD.
Sumec Group is implementing a green energy power generation project in Vietnam.
Sumec and some businesses wish to explore investment opportunities, bring production industries, especially the field of electricity generation with new energy, new materials, ensure green energy, towards the Net Zero goal in Bac Ninh.
Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc Tuan affirmed that Bac Ninh province currently has a system of good industrial parks, with the most convenient and modern transport infrastructure investment in Vietnam; connecting with key and strategic economic regions of the country.
