About 8 months after the Ba Le bridge collapse incident (Tam Vu street, Tan An ward, Can Tho city) due to overloaded trucks carrying construction materials passing through, to date, the bridge has been repaired and put into use, contributing to ensuring traffic safety and stabilizing the lives of people in the area.

Previously, on May 21, 2025, an incident occurred causing the iron bar along the left side of the bridge to break, posing a serious safety risk for people and vehicles passing by, and at the same time greatly affecting the daily life and business of households living along Tam Vu street.
Records of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters show that the bridge repair has been completed, and vehicles have returned to smooth traffic. Local people expressed their joy when the bridge was repaired in time, especially in the context of the upcoming 2026 Lunar New Year.
Mr. Pham Quang Loc, a resident living next to Tam Vu street, shared that after many times of people's opinions and petitions, the bridge has been repaired and completed. Having a safe bridge helps people travel and trade much more conveniently, especially at the end of the year.
However, according to Mr. Loc, the bridge surface still has quite a lot of gravel, posing a risk of slipperiness and easy falls when traveling. He hopes that functional agencies will asphalt the bridge surface to ensure safety and synchronization with the road surface on both sides.
Sharing the same joy, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong (Tan An ward), who regularly travels through this road, said that during the time the bridge is damaged, people have to take detours, and transporting goods or traveling is difficult.
Now the bridge is rebuilt to be solid, vehicles passing by are more secure, everyone is happy," Ms. Hong said.
