From January 17 to January 25, 2026, the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy organizes the program "Free medical examination, health consultation, and medicine distribution" in Kieu Phu commune.

The activity is chaired by the Youth Union of the Academy, in coordination with functional units of the Academy and local authorities to implement.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, Director of the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy, emphasized that this is a traditional activity of the Academy with profound humanistic meaning, expressing the spirit of "gratitude", and at the same time contributing to promoting the value of Vietnamese traditional medicine in caring for and protecting people's health.

Mr. Dinh Hong Phong, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health, highly appreciated the proactiveness and responsibility of units implementing the organization of initial health care activities for policy beneficiaries and the elderly in the area.
Mr. Phong emphasized that in the context of rapid population aging, strengthening primary health care, early detection and management of non-communicable diseases in the elderly is extremely important.

The Hanoi Department of Health always encourages and supports coordination models between local authorities and central-level health facilities in the work of caring for, protecting and improving people's health, contributing to the effective implementation of social security goals of the Capital.
According to the plan, the program is implemented in 5 phases, at 5 residential points in Kieu Phu commune with the goal of medical examination, free medicine distribution and implementation of non-drug treatment methods for about 2,500 people. The main beneficiaries are policy families, people with meritorious services to the revolution and the elderly in the commune.
The program gathers a team of experienced doctors and physicians from the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy and Tue Tinh Hospital, along with a modern system of medical equipment to serve effective screening and treatment.
In addition to professional work, essential gifts are also prepared to be given, contributing to helping people celebrate Tet in a warm and meaningful atmosphere. Youth union members and volunteer students of the Academy will accompany throughout to ensure the program takes place safely, practically and effectively.
