The Dai Ngai bridge construction investment project on National Highway 60 in the Vinh Long provinces with Can Tho city is currently being urgently implemented with a total of 37 construction teams. The project mobilizes 245 equipment, machinery and 588 engineers and workers to carry out items from the construction of the main bridge, small bridge, roadbed to the embankment to reinforce the Tran De river channel.
Currently, the construction volume of some main items has achieved positive results. The roadbed excavation is nearly completed, and the service road is being implemented in parallel with the treatment of weak soil and overload.

In package 11.XL, Dai Ngai 2 bridge over Hau river connecting Dai Ngai commune and Cu Lao Dung commune (Can Tho city) has been basically completed. Currently, only the completed work such as installing anti-glare panels, expansion joints, along with paint lines and lighting is left.
5/6 bridges in this package have been basically completed. The bridges on the route such as Khem Rach Gia Bridge, Ben Ba, Ap Cau Doi, Ap Nga Ba have all completed the main structure, leaving only the completed stages such as the overpass, railings, asphalt concrete surface, expansion joints and embankment at both ends of the bridge. The Rach Ong Rom Bridge alone has completed all piles, completed 3/4 of the piers and cast beams to 100%, and is continuing to construct the floor to reduce load.

In construction package No. 15-XL, the Dai Ngai 1 bridge over Hau river construction site in Dinh An canal, connecting Vinh Long province and Can Tho city, is maintaining 19 construction teams with a large workforce and equipment. The bridge construction work is focusing on foundations, piers and approach routes. Currently, 90/146 D1200 piles (62%), 72/196 D1500 piles (37%) and 15/92500 piles (16%) have been drilled. The construction of the pillar pedestal has reached 7% and has only cast 7/294 SPT girder winches, equivalent to 2%.
Other items such as excavation, service roads, embankment and material gathering are still being accelerated to ensure overall progress.

Up to now, the total construction output of the project has reached VND1,505 billion, equivalent to 29.69% of the contract value, about 5.37% behind the approved plan.
According to Project Management Board 85, the overall progress in package 11-XL basically meets the requirements, the demand has exceeded the plan. Although the 15-XL package is still slow in some items, contractors are increasing equipment and human resources to shorten the progress in the coming time.
The Dai Ngai bridge project has a total length of more than 15 km. The total cost is nearly VND 8,000 billion. The starting point intersects with National Highway 54, in Tieu Can commune, Vinh Long (formerly Hung Hoa commune, Tieu Can district, Tra Vinh province). The end point intersects with Nam Song Hau National Highway, Cu Lao Dung Commune, Can Tho City (formerly Long Duc Commune, Long Phu District, Soc Trang Province).
The project includes 2 main bridge works, Dai Ngai 1 and Dai Ngai 2 bridges. When completed, the project will help open the entire National Highway 60, helping the coastal provinces of the Mekong Delta shorten the distance from Ho Chi Minh City by about 80km.
