On February 13, the ship named M/V MSC BEIRA IV, departing from Singapore, officially arrived at Phuoc An port (Nhon Trach district).

According to Mr. Truong Hoang Hai - General Director of Phuoc An Port Investment and Exploitation Petroleum Joint Stock Company (PAP), this is the first ship of MSC - the world's largest shipping line - transporting nearly 1,400 TEUs of essential goods such as textiles, electronics... which are the strengths of businesses in Nhon Trach district.

According to the plan, Phuoc An port is divided into port zones and logistics service zones.
In particular, the port subdivision has a total area of 164.5 hectares, a total wharf length of 2,830m, including 9 container wharfs capable of receiving ships with a capacity of 100,000 DWT, with a scale and operating capacity of 6.5 million TEUs (1 TEU is equivalent to a 20-foot container).
In 2025, it is expected to reach 0.2 million TEUs, then gradually increase and will reach 1.2 million TEUs in 2026.

In addition, Phuoc An port logistics service industrial park has an area of 550 hectares, planned with a system of cargo warehouse services, barge terminals, transit train stations... serving traffic - transportation and logistics activities for Phuoc An port area to industrial parks in Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province and the Southern key economic region.
Phuoc An Port is a modern container port, with a scale of 3 phases.
Phuoc An Port is located on the bank of Thi Vai River (Nhon Trach District) with the best waterway position in Vietnam today, located in the key economic zone of the South and is expected to bring many economic values to Nhon Trach District and Dong Nai Province.
Mr. Nguyen Duong Hoai - Deputy Director of Dong Nai Province Customs Department said that the first ship to dock at the port opened the flow of trade and goods between Dong Nai province and the world and vice versa.
Dong Nai Province Customs has prepared human resources and is ready to carry out tasks and procedures for import and export of goods at Phuoc An port.
Phuoc An Port is expected to become a convenient, safe and cost-saving storage and transportation point for goods in business transportation activities, contributing to the development of Dong Nai's logistics industry, attracting large enterprises to register for customs procedures, contributing to increasing Dong Nai province's budget revenue from import and export.
