Provincial road 315B is one of the important roads connecting National Highway 2, the area of old Phu Ninh district (Phu Tho), Phu Ha industrial park... with the center of Phu Tho town in the past.
This road passes through many densely populated residential areas, especially crossing the end point of Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway and the beginning point of Ho Chi Minh road in Phu Tho (creating a carrefour). Therefore, the traffic density is very high.

The Investment Project for the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway connection with Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway has been implemented since February 2025 (total investment of more than 692 billion VND), currently building the provincial road 315B overpass item.
This overpass is an inter-level intersection, helping to connect straight from the beginning of the Ho Chi Minh road and the end of the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway.

According to records in mid-January 2026, after many months of construction, the provincial road overpass 315B has taken shape.
Items such as: Drilling piles, culvert platforms, body walls, top walls, super T girders, horizontal girders, bridge deck... have been constructed. The contractor is mobilizing a lot of manpower and vehicles to pile soil and compact the area of the 2 bridge and road culverts.

In the area, due to the construction of the above important items, the contractor had to assign people to divert traffic, arrange lights and warning signs for vehicles entering and leaving the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway, and the Ho Chi Minh road was arranged. However, according to records, the traffic situation was not congested or chaotic.

Regarding the project, according to the design, the road is built with the starting point connecting to the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway, the ending point connecting to the existing Ho Chi Minh road; the total length of the entire route is about 2.736 km, including 2 items: the main expressway and the service road.

For the expressway, the project invests in expanding 2 lanes on the left side of the existing road, with an expanded roadbed width of 12.75m, ensuring the completion scale of 4 lanes with a roadbed width of 24.75m.
The access road meets the scale of rural traffic road level B, roadbed 5m wide, road surface 3.5m wide, and restored roads are designed to suit the current road level.

According to Mr. Do The Nam - Deputy Director of Phu Tho Regional Project Management Board - to date, compensation and site clearance work for the project has been completed; the project implementation volume to date has reached 36% (project implementation deadline is June 30, 2026).

When completed, the project will improve exploitation capacity, minimize traffic accidents, improve investment efficiency of 2 key expressways, gradually complete the road network planning for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050; promote socio-economic development; contribute to the implementation of the goals of Resolution 11-NQ/TW of the Politburo on socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the Central Highlands and Northern Mountains regions.
