The investment project to build a overpass at the intersection of Le Trong Tan street and National Highway 6 (old Ha Dong district, now belonging to Kien Hung and Duong Noi wards) was approved by the Hanoi People's Committee in April 2025.
The overpass project has a main span and steel approach span with a total length of about 883m, a scale of 4 lanes in the direction of Le Trong Tan street - Van Khe street.
The project belongs to group B with a total estimated investment of nearly 880 billion VND, implemented in the period 2026-2028. The Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board is assigned by the City People's Committee to be the project investor.

The Hanoi Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the actual location of the project will be built over the existing Cat Linh - Ha Dong railway line, using light steel beams with improved beam base curves, and main pillars creating architectural highlights.
The two main pillars are shaped like birds flying in the sky, the beam structure is softly curved. This also reduces the aperture of the main span in accordance with the load-bearing capacity of the structure.
On both sides of the bridge, outside the railing, a flower growing strip is arranged, and paper flowers are expected to be planted.
The railing on both sides of the bridge is made in the shape of the Ha Dong silk strip vertically and horizontally, combined together into a five-pointed star.
The color of the bridge girder as well as the color of the railing will be studied to suit natural conditions, ensuring less maintenance and repair.
The design team named the architectural plan "Peaceful Sky", expressing the desire for a Hanoi, a thousand-year-old capital of culture, to always live in peace, freedom and happiness.

According to the Project Management Board, the design elevation of the overpass over the Cat Linh - Ha Dong railway line is ensured to have a minimum vertical clearance of 4.3m from the top of the rails and smooth vertical slope connection with the Le Trong Tan road that has been constructed.
Regarding the bridge span structure, combine the bridge span using steel box girders combined with reinforced concrete slabs through an anchor system. The height of the steel beam part varies from 2m in the middle of the span to 3m on the top of the pillar at the position linked to the steel wing, the distance between the two centers of the box is 8.2m. The side of the box is designed to tilt at a ratio of 4:1 to create aesthetics and save materials. Create a horizontal slope with the bridge deck.
The bridge deck is made of reinforced concrete with a minimum thickness of 200mm, connected to steel beams through a combined anchor system.
Steel beams are divided into beam segments from 9-15m long, pre-made in the factory, then transported to the construction site for installation, contributing to accelerating the construction progress of the project.
The bridge surface cover is C16 thick asphalt concrete 7cm thick, with adhesive asphalt irrigation layer of 0.5kg/m2 underneath...
The traffic lighting system is located on the railing banks on both sides of the bridge with an average distance of 35m from the columns. The lights used are low-energy and high-performance LED lights.
On the bridge, art lighting is designed to create architectural highlights on both sides of the city, controlled according to pre-installed programs, which can change effects according to normal days, weekends or holidays.

According to the investor's assessment, this is an important modern architectural work, creating a highlight for the construction area in particular and Hanoi City in general.
The investment in building overpasses contributes to overcoming traffic congestion, ensuring traffic safety within the intersection and in Hanoi City in general; gradually completing the traffic network and urban technical infrastructure in accordance with the city's general plan...
