On the morning of August 26, after storm No. 5 swept through the area, many areas in Ha Tinh province were devastated, with fallen trees, corrugated iron roofs blown away, and damage that could not be counted.
According to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper in the Bac Hong Linh area, a series of trees, including many large trees, were knocked down, uprooted or had their branches broken by strong winds.
Falling trees are scattered on both sides of the road, many of which are close to the walls of houses, posing a potential safety risk.




The corrugated iron roofs of houses, advertising signs, and household items of businesses and shops were also blown away by the wind and flew everywhere. Many sections of the road were covered, making traffic difficult.
According to local people, from last night to early this morning, August 26, strong winds and continuous heavy rain forced them to stay up all night to cope, many houses had their roofs blown off, and glass doors broken due to flying objects hitting them.
Currently, local authorities and functional forces are urgently reviewing, clearing fallen trees and checking the level of damage to the works. However, the specific damage has not been counted due to the complicated situation.
