On July 9, Mr. Pham Chi Tam - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - visited and presented gifts to 6 worker households affected by the fire in Quarter 5, Tan Thoi Hiep Ward, Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of July 8.

The fire burned 6 rooms, although there were no human casualties, it affected 6 worker households (including 16 people) renting a room at the above location.

Of these, 11 people are working at Chang Nam Company (Ba Diem Commune), 1 person is working at Wavu Company (Trung My Tay Ward), 2 freelancers and a child born in 2016 is going to school.

In order to support workers to overcome difficulties, on the afternoon of July 8, the Fatherland Front Committee, organizations and the Tan Thoi Hiep Ward Trade Union coordinated with the Ward People's Committee to visit, give necessities, and provide cash support with a total amount of 20 million VND.

The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation has supported each affected worker family with 10 million VND, while households with children have been supported with 15 million VND.

The total amount of money that the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation supported for 6 worker households was 65 million VND.
