At 8:00 a.m. on October 22, Hoc Mon District authorities were blocking off the scene of a fire at a paint factory on Nguyen Van Bua Street, Xuan Thoi Thuong Commune, Hoc Mon District.
Earlier, at around 4am the same day, residents living on Nguyen Van Bua Street heard several loud explosions. Upon checking, they discovered a fire breaking out at a paint factory. Firefighting efforts were unsuccessful as the flames spread rapidly.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Hoc Mon District Police arrived at the scene to rescue. The fire has been extinguished, but firefighters are still spraying water to cool it down to prevent it from rekindling.
The cause and damage of the fire have not been announced by police.
