According to information from Le Van Thinh Hospital, all 3 patients were victims of the fire at EhomeS apartment building, Long Truong ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The first patient is L.T.N. (born in 2020, female), diagnosed with acute respiratory failure due to smoke inhalation, accompanied by burns to the thighs, calves and feet on both sides, level IIA.
The second patient is L.N.L.D. (born in 2017, female), admitted to the hospital in a state of post-cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest due to acute respiratory failure due to smoke inhalation, accompanied by degree IIA calf burns on both sides. In the Emergency Department, doctors urgently performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation. After the pulse returned, the patient was transferred to Children's Hospital 1 for continued intensive treatment.
The third patient is N.T.L. (born in 1994, female), who was admitted to the hospital in a state of post-heart arrest, respiratory arrest due to acute respiratory failure due to smoke inhalation, accompanied by burns in the armpit - forearm, lower half of the thigh and calf on both sides. The patient was closely monitored for respiratory, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and transferred to Cho Ray Hospital for further treatment.
According to initial records, in the early morning of the same day, people were sleeping when they discovered a burning smell emanating from an apartment in EhomeS apartment building, Long Truong ward. Immediately after that, people around quickly rescued, took 3 people out of the burning apartment and transferred them to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Currently, the cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
