Hanoi adjusts traffic organization on Co Linh street and Dam Quang Trung - Co Linh intersection to serve the construction of a tunnel worth more than 747 billion VND.

Hanoi Department of Construction has just announced the pilot adjustment of traffic organization within the scope of Co Linh - Dam Quang Trung intersection to serve the construction of the underpass investment project at Co Linh intersection, Long Bien ward.

The pilot plan to adjust traffic organization on Co Linh street and Dam Quang Trung - Co Linh intersection, specifically as follows:

- No car turning at the intersection at the foot of Co Linh overpass intersecting with alley 64 Co Linh in the direction of Co Linh - Chuong Duong bridge.

+ Vehicles in need will turn around at the Co Linh intersection with Tran Dang Khoa street to go to Ring Road 2.

+ Add the installation of long-distance lane separation signs for vehicles needing to go to the city center in the direction of National Highway 5 - Thanh Tri bridge or National Highway 5 - Chuong Duong bridge.

+ Adding long-distance lane separation signs for routes from the city center to the eastern provinces following the Nguyen Khoai dyke - Thanh Tri bridge direction.

- Organize traffic for vehicles that need to turn right continuously at Co Linh intersection after cutting sidewalks to widen the road surface from 3 to 4 lanes, the average road surface width after opening is from 10.5m to 14m (average width increased compared to before cutting from 3.5m to 5m).

The pilot implementation period is from January 25, 2026 until there is a replacement notice.

On October 4th, Hanoi City People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the underpass construction investment project at Co Linh intersection.

The starting point of the underpass connecting to the Vinh Tuy bridge project phase 2 is about 400m from the intersection with Co Linh street. The ending point connecting to the existing Dam Quang Trung street is about 1,000m from the intersection with Co Linh street.

The underpass is designed in the direction of Vinh Tuy bridge to National Highway 5, the heart of the tunnel coincides with the heart of the existing Dam Quang Trung road. The total length of the tunnel is about 600m (of which the length of the closed tunnel is 100m); the cross-section of the tunnel is 27.1m wide, arranged with 6 lanes (3 lanes each side).

The total investment of the project is more than 747 billion VND, from the Hanoi city budget, contract implementation time is 26 months.
