Fire in two townhouses in Ho Chi Minh City

HCMC - A major fire broke out in the Ly Thai To roundabout area, Vuon Lai ward, burning down many properties inside a fried chicken shop and a adjacent gift shop.

As of nearly 10:00 p.m. on July 11, the authorities were still blocking off the scene to clarify the fire at the Supply House signboard at Ly Thai To roundabout, Vuon Lai Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Lao Dong at the scene, at around 8:30 p.m. on July 11, a fire broke out from a wall between a grocery store and a Lotteria fried chicken shop right around Ly Thai To roundabout, Vuon Lai ward.

Immediately after discovering the fire, the staff in the two stores clutched their belongings and ran away. About 10 minutes after the fire, many fire trucks and more than 30 soldiers arrived at the scene, pulled the dragon hoses to put out the fire, preventing the fire from spreading. The fire was extinguished after about 15 minutes, but many equipment and furniture of the two houses were burned down.

The cause of the fire is being clarified by the authorities.
