At around 10:00 a.m. on March 12, a 5-seat car suddenly caught fire fiercely on Do Muoi Street (old National Highway 1), near the gate of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, Linh Trung Ward, Thu Duc City.
According to initial information, the car was moving from Linh Xuan overpass to Suoi Tien Tourist Area when the fire broke out. The driver quickly escaped and tried to put out the fire with a mini fire extinguisher, but failed.
The fire quickly spread and completely burned down the car, leaving only the iron frame. The Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police of Thu Duc City quickly arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire.
By noon of the same day, the authorities were still conducting an investigation of the scene and investigating the cause of the fire. The incident did not cause any human casualties, but caused many difficulties in traffic through the area.
