At around 3:00 p.m. on October 11, a major fire broke out in the Dragon Market area, in Tran Phu Commune, Hai Phong City, burning down many kiosks of goods.
According to local people, the fire broke out in the middle of the market - where the main focus was on kiosks selling clothes and household items. Black smoke rose to the point of no return, engulfing the entire market. Some people said the initial cause may have been due to a welding fall during the repair process, causing the fire to spread quickly to the surrounding stalls.
As soon as the incident was discovered, people and traders shouted to each other to move goods, especially flammable objects, and used on-site fire fighting equipment to contain the area to prevent the fire from spreading. The authorities quickly cut off the power to the entire market area to ensure safety.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force urgently dispatched 2 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire. After a period of efforts, the fire was basically controlled, not allowed to spread to neighboring residential areas.
Fortunately, at the time of the fire, there were no markets in this area, so there were no casualties. However, many clothing and household items kiosks were severely damaged, some were almost completely burned down.
The cause of the fire is being further investigated and clarified by the authorities.
