Hung Yen - A large fire at a plastic production factory in Viet Yen commune on the night of February 9 has been controlled by functional forces, no casualties have been recorded.

On February 10, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Chairman of Viet Yen Commune People's Committee (Hung Yen province) said that about 8 specialized fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers of functional forces were mobilized and focused on rescue in a large fire that occurred in the area.

Accordingly, the fire broke out late on February 9, in the area of a plastic product manufacturing workshop. Because the inside contained many flammable materials, the fire spread quickly and developed strongly on a large scale.

At about 0:10 am, the fire continued to flare up on an area of hundreds of square meters. Witnesses at the scene said that the workshop was mainly made of corrugated iron and iron frames, and many items collapsed due to high heat.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, initial casualties have not been recorded. The time of the fire was at night, with no workers working in the factory.

Currently, forces of Hung Yen Provincial Police are focusing on controlling the fire. The cause of the incident and damage are being further statistically analyzed and clarified according to regulations.
