On February 9, Mr. Le Quang Chinh, Chairman of Kon Braih Commune People's Committee, Quang Ngai province, said that a fire had just occurred in the commune, burning down the communal house of Kon Brap Ju village. According to Mr. Chinh, at about 3:30 pm on February 8, the fire broke out from the roof and quickly spread to the entire communal house.

Immediately after grasping the information, Kon Braih Commune People's Committee mobilized forces and people of Kon Brap Ju village to participate in firefighting. However, at the time of the fire, there was strong wind, the communal house was made of flammable materials such as bamboo, thatch, and dry wood, so the fire spread very quickly and completely burned down the building.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
Kon Brap Ju village has 191 households with nearly 800 people, more than 94% are Ba Na ethnic people. The Rong house retains its traditional architecture and is considered the largest Rong house of the Ba Na people in Kon Tum province (old).
