Hanoi - Due to the narrow alley, fire trucks could not reach the scene, so the authorities had to pull fire hoses from the alley to the burning house to put out the fire.

According to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper at 2:30 p.m. on November 30, the authorities extinguished the fire at house number 73, lane 112, Me Tri Thuong street (Tu Liem ward, Hanoi).

Ms. Hoa - a person living near the scene - said the fire broke out at around 1:00 p.m. the same day at the 8-storey house mentioned above.

"S highly rising smoke accompanied by many explosions on the upper floors. People around shouted for those in the house to run outside" - Ms. Hoa said.
