On December 5, people discovered a house on fire on Road 1C, Vinh Loc B Commune, Binh Chanh District. At that time, people mobilized mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire, but the house was locked, making the on-site firefighting efforts unsuccessful.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Binh Chanh District Police dispatched many vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene. About 1 hour later, the fire was controlled and extinguished.
According to local residents, the one-story house with a mezzanine floor where the fire occurred was rented out by the owner. The tenant used the house to store goods. At the time of the fire, there was no one inside the house. All the property inside the house was burned down.
On the same day, an electric motorbike driven by a young man was traveling on Nguyen Trong Tuyen Street, heading from District 12 to District 4.
When reaching the intersection of Nguyen Trong Tuyen - Nguyen Dinh Chinh, the car suddenly caught fire. The young man panicked and pushed the burning car into alley 39 Nguyen Trong Tuyen and shouted for help from people around. This alley had few people so no other incidents occurred.
Upon receiving the news, the authorities quickly went to the scene to handle the fire and direct traffic.
Authorities are still investigating and clarifying the causes of the two fires above.
